The Bees and Avon game on Saturday delivered exactly the kind of intense soccer matchup everyone expected from two top rival teams, battling to a hard‑fought 1-1 draw in the bright sunlight at the Beehive. No team was able to break through in the first half. After Avon took the lead early in the second half, the Bees kept pushing and found the equalizer when Billy Henning buried one off an Andrew Scott assist.
